Working in a new startup there are a million things to do. Which makes it challenging to decide what is most important things to work on, without being getting distracted a sea of tasks and every new shiny idea that pops into our heads!
To tackle this challenge, we’ve adopted an agile planning approach. By breaking down our goals into quarterly increments and 2-week sprints using Kanban in JIRA, we ensure we stay on track without overcommitting. The RICE prioritisation framework (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort) further guides our decision-making process, helping us focus on tasks with the highest value.
We are still super-busy, but our commitment to staying focused on what truly matters drives us to harness the excitement and motivation of the startup environment while avoiding the trap of non-value adding activities.
Here at Quadrivium AU we are a bit of a sucker for cool tools and techniques to help us organise our work. Do you have any strategies or methods that help you prioritise important tasks over the urgent ones? 🌟
